Ennova Blue™ Windows®-based open source CFD

Ennova Blue™ is a new computational fluid dynamics (CFD) platform that combines OpenFOAM® solver technology; advanced CAD repair; automated polyhedral meshing; and professional simulation workflows within a single native Microsoft Windows® application.

Designed for engineers and engineering organizations seeking professional CFD capabilities without the deployment complexity traditionally associated with Linux-based environments, Ennova Blue™ delivers an integrated workflow for geometry preparation, mesh generation, simulation setup, computation, and post-processing—all within a familiar Windows® environment.

Ennova Blue™ gives engineering organizations the flexibility to choose the deployment model that best fits their environment. Engineers who prefer Linux can continue using traditional OpenFOAM® workflows, while organizations standardized on Microsoft Windows® can deploy Ennova Blue™ as a fully native Windows® application without requiring Linux, virtual machines, or Windows® Subsystem for Linux (WSL).

By combining professional mesh generation technology with OpenFOAM®, Ennova Blue™ enables engineers to move from CAD geometry to engineering results within a unified engineering environment while reducing the complexity traditionally associated with professional CFD deployment.

The platform supports a broad range of engineering applications, including external aerodynamics, internal fluid flow, thermal management, marine hydrodynamics, rotating machinery, electronics cooling, HVAC, process engineering, renewable energy, and general industrial CFD.

At the core of Ennova Blue™ is Ennova's advanced geometry preparation technology. The software automatically repairs imperfect CAD models, removes gaps and topological defects, generates watertight computational domains, and creates high-quality automated polyhedral meshes optimized for demanding CFD simulations. Integrated boundary-layer mesh generation enables engineers to efficiently produce meshes suitable for high-fidelity turbulence modeling while significantly reducing manual preprocessing effort.

In addition to OpenFOAM® integration, Ennova's preprocessing technology supports a broad range of CFD workflows and export formats used throughout industry. Recent enhancements include expanded support for OpenFOAM®, OpenFOAM® Foundation, BlueCFD, and the U.S. Department of Defense's CREATE™-AV Kestrel environment, enabling organizations to prepare high-quality computational meshes for multiple solver ecosystems from a common preprocessing platform.
