The Smooth Mesh Tool is also referred to as the Mesh Booster. The smoother uing a variation of Methods to smooth the mesh rather than a laplacian approach. This means in Ennova the Booster or smoother will never make a mesh worse. It will only improve the quality of the Mesh. The booster keeps performing until it can not improve the mesh any further. In a meshing process it is good practice to call the booster or use the booster after the tet Fill in Mesh has been called.
There are options that allow the boundary layer to be excluded from the smoothing and only the surface mesh to be smoothed.
