The Create Vertex Along Edge tool allows you to create a vertex in any place along a selected edge. Select the edge you want to create a vertex on, then select the position on the edge you want to create a vertex at. The position will be indicated on the model. Alternatively, you can enter the parameter in the window that will appear in the 3D Viewer Window to specify where the new vertext should be created.
