There are five add-ins provided on CAD tab to transfer model from CAD to Ennova. One can open any CAD software directly in the Ennova itself on CAD tab. If out of five any CAD software is installed on the client, then that icon will get enabled on the title bar of CAD tab.
Also there are different add-ins required to install manually for each CAD software. Procedure to install CAD add-in is given below.
1. SpaceClaim :
Installation : Copy Ennova folder from /{Ennova installation folder}/plugins/spaceclaim to /{SpaceClaim Installation folder/Addins folder Then restart Ennova. Go to CAD tab. Click on this icon to open SpaceClaim as child of Ennova. Then in SpaceClaim options if not checked check 'Simcosm Ennova Add-in', then Ennova tab will appear in SpaceClaim.
Open or create any model in SpaceClaim,then click on Export button on Ennova tab to trasfer current model from SpaceClaim to Ennova.
Save button on Ennova tab cab be used to save current model to .reds file.
2. Rhinoceros :
Installation : Start Rhinoceros application. Go to 'Tools' menu. Select 'Options', then 'RhinoScript'. Click on the 'New' button to add new script to load at startup. Browse for /{Ennova installation folder}/plugins/rhino/Ennova.rvb. Click 'Ok' to save Options. Close Rhinoceros. Go to CAD tab. Click on Rhinoceros icon to open Rhinoceros as child of Ennova. Right click on Toolbar area. Select Ennova_Export.Ennova. It will add ennova toolbar in the Rhinoceros UI.
Open or create any model in Rhinoceros,then click on Export button on Ennova toolbar to trasfer current model from Rhinoceros to Ennova.
3. Sketchup :
Installation : Copy Ennova folder & ennova.rb file from /{Ennova installation folder}/plugins/sketchup to /{Sketchup Installation folder/Plugins folder. Go to CAD tab. Click on Sketchup icon to open Sketchup as child of Ennova. Then in Sketchup, go to 'Window', then 'Preferences'. Check 'Ennova Export Tool', if not checked. Now Ennova toolbar will appear in the Sketchup.
Open or create any model in Sketchup,then click on Export button on Ennova toolbar to trasfer current model from Sketchup to Ennova.
